Hydrocortisone Cream

Description:
  • Reducing itching, redness, and swelling associated with many skin conditions.
  • Hydrocortisone cream is a topical corticosteroid. It works by reducing skin inflammation (redness, swelling, itching, and irritation).

Dosage:
  • Cream, ointment, solution, gel, or lotion: Apply to affected area two to four times a day

Comments:
  • Occlusive dressings may be used for the management of psoriasis or other recalcitrant conditions.
  • If an infection develops, the use of occlusive dressings should be discontinued and appropriate antimicrobial therapy initiated.
  • The safety and efficacy of drug use for longer than 4 weeks have not been established.

Use:
  • Relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroidresponsive dermatoses

Usual Adult Dose for Psoriasis:

Use:
  • Use hydrocortisone cream as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
  • Apply a small amount of medicine to the affected area. Gently rub it in until it is evenly distributed. Wash your hands after applying hydrocortisone cream, unless your hands are part of the treated area.
  • Do not bandage or wrap the affected area unless directed otherwise by your doctor.
  • Do not use hydrocortisone cream on your face, groin, or underarms unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
  • If you miss a dose of hydrocortisone cream, apply it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.

  • Some medical conditions may interact with hydrocortisone cream. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances if you have chickenpox, shingles, measles, or tuberculosis (TB), or have had a positive TB skin test or a recent vaccination if you have had a skin infection, thinning of the skin (atrophy), or a certain type of severe acne (rosacea) if you are taking an oral corticosteroid (eg, prednisone).

Miconazole Cream

Description:
  • Treating vaginal yeast infections and relieving external vulvar itching and irritation associated with yeast infection.
  • Miconazole cream is an antifungal agent. It works by weakening the cell membrane of the fungus, resulting in the death of the fungus.

Simvastatin

Description:
  • Simvastatin is in a group of drugs called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or "statins." It reduces levels of "bad" cholesterol (lowdensity lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol (highdensity lipoprotein, or HDL).
  • Simvastatin is used to lower cholesterol and triglycerides (types of fat) in the blood.
  • Simvastatin is also used to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, and other heart complications in people with diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors.

Dosage:
  • Usual Adult Dose for Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease:
  • Usual dosage range: 5 to 40 mg orally once a day in the evening

Patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) or at high risk of CHD:
  • Initial dose: 10 to 20 mg orally once a day in the evening started simultaneously with diet and exercise
  • Patients at high risk for a CHD event due to existing CHD, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, history of stroke or other cerebrovascular disease.
  • Initial dose: 40 mg orally once a day in the evening

Comments:
  • Therapy should be individualized according to patient response.
  • Lipid determinations should be performed after 4 weeks of therapy and periodically thereafter.
  • Due to the increased risk of myopathy (including rhabdomyolysis), particularly during the first year of treatment, use of the 80 mg dose should be restricted to patients who have been taking 80 mg for 12 months or more without evidence of muscle toxicity.

Clopidogrel Capsules

Description:
  • Reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, or death in patients who have already had a heart attack or stroke, have other circulatory problems caused by narrowing and hardening of the arteries, or have certain other heart problems (eg, unstable angina). It also may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
  • Clopidogrel is a platelet aggregation inhibitor. It works by slowing or stopping platelets from sticking to blood vessel walls or injured tissues.

Dosage:
  • Usual Adult Dose for Acute Coronary Syndrome
  • Unstable Angina (UA)/NonSTElevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI):
  • Loading dose: 300 mg orally once
  • Maintenance dose: 75 mg orally once a day
  • Duration of therapy: Optimal duration unknown.

STElevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI):
  • Loading dose: 300 mg orally once (OPTIONAL)

Comments:
  • Administer this drug in combination with aspirin 75 mg to 325 mg orally once a day.
